Princess & The Frog

Once Upon So Long Ago 

There Was a Princess Who Would Go

Out Walking Neath The Sky Above

While Dreaming Of her One True Love.

A Thing Of Beauty, Skin so fair 

Angelic Smile, With Golden Hair 

The Blush of Roses upon her cheeks

The sound of music when she speaks .

One Fine Day The Princess Did take 

a walk down by the castle lake 

And there upon a hallow log 

there sit the most handsome bullfrog .

He had a twinkle in his eye

the princess couldn't figure out why 

this frog could make her knees feel weak 

when suddenly the frog did speak .

Hello M'lady he did say

What brings You Passing By 

On this fine day ? 

Princess Replied, " I'm on a walk "

I did not know that frogs could talk!'

A frog i have not always been 

I Was born like other men.

But i made mad this cronious old witch

she put a spell on me and i turned into this. 

So now i spend time eating flies

stuck here in this frog disguise 

cursed to live here lovelessly

unless a princess kisses me."

" I am a princess," Princess cried

"But kiss a frog? ...I don't think i'd ever

quite comes to grips 

with having warts upon my lips."

"Hey that old warts thing it's not true."

it's an old wives tale i promise you.

If you kiss me we will be 

in love throughout eternity. 

All time together we will spend 

Our happiness will never end .

Just grab me with your fingertips 

and kiss me right here upon my lips. 

T'was love the princess did most crave

So at that moment feeling brave 

she thought to do as frog had asked

and see how froggie looked unmasked.

Hoping Froggie didn't lie 

she saw that twinkle in his eye.

"I Can't believe i'm doing this "

as princess knelt before the frog to kiss .

Moving closer with hurried pace

she saw a smile upon the bullfrogs face.

A puff of smoke as their lips met 

and then two frogs together sat.

Before you laugh or even cry

and think this tale has gone awry

or think it's ending is out of place

just look at the smile on the princess face.

With the grace from up above 

princess had found her one true love.

she was happy as a frog

with her mate there on a log .

There is a moral to this rhyme .

A simple message old as time.

Though you may think a frog's life is crappy

You will never know what makes a princess happy. 

Sorry for the long poem but it seemed to fit so well.
